Gastonia- Flora Beatrice Boyd, 98, entered into her Heavenly Home on March 16, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living - Union.
She was born in Gaston County on October 7, 1918 to the late John and Patricia Chaney Boyd.
Bea retired from Wix Filters, Dana Corporation with over 38 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Strange, Polly Heafner, Irene Boyd, Ruth Lingafelt, Carolyn Moore and Annie Mae Rhyne and brothers Walter, Calvin, Johnny and James Boyd.
Left to cherish her memories includes many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Heafner and Reverend Andy Ballentine officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service. Pallbearers will be Scott Strange, Trey Strange, Greg Isenhour and Michael Heafner.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the releasing of the doves.
