Gastonia – Faye Widener Adams, 87 went home to be with her Lord and Savior November 30, 2016 at Alexandria Place.
She was born in Chester, South Carolina on September 18, 1929 to the late Walter and Jessie Lowery Widener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Luther H. "Luke' Adams, and a son Wayne Adams, brother Tommy Widener, sister Mary Propst
She was a member of Pisgah Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Left to cherish her memories include her son, Tommy Adams and wife Kathy, daughters, Mary J. Easler, Martha Lynn and husband Fred, and Gail Hamm and husband Greg; Grandchildren Barry Easler, Jody Easler, Nathan Hamm, Mark Hamm, Tammy Adams, Kim Perez, Christina Smith, Alecia Smith, Chris Adams, Jessica Adams, Amelia Adams, Sarah Van Buren; Fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister Betty Smith.
A Celebration of life Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Pisgah Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Richard C. Lewis, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Barry Easler, Jody Easler, Nathan Hamm, Mark Hamm, Ricky Davis and Lawrence Rhyne
