Gastonia – Evelyn Lee Gibson, 92 passed away peacefully on February 9, 2019 at Peak Resources.
She was born in Swain County, NC on May 22, 1926 to the late Roy and Cora Ellen Frye Gibson.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Clay Gibson and Douglas Ray Gibson, sister, Lucy Ann Whitworth, niece, Jean Davis.
She retired from Parkdale Mills with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Pecan Grove Free Will Baptist Church and had attended Springwood Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Nettie Gibson Huss and husband John; nieces and nephews, Peggy Sue Callaway, Donald Ray Gibson, Henry Gibson, Jr.,
Robbie and Kevin Huss.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 12th at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum D with Pastor Jeff Silver officiating.
