Gastonia- Evelyn Dye Brown, 79, passed away October 29, 2009 at Brian Center. She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Wilbur Edison and Alda Scruggs Dye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ray Dye,
and a grandson, Steve Brown Jr.
She was retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital where she was a registered nurse assistant.
Survivors include two sons, Steve R. Brown of Ranlo, and James M. Brown of Forest City,
a brother, Max R. Dye, of Ranlo, two sisters, Jean Dawson also of Ranlo and Faye Dye of Gastonia, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arson Dixon officiating
Family will receive friends 1 hour prior.
