Evelyn Narcissa Branch, 72 went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2012. She was born Nov. 15, 1939 in Cocke County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Athea Erwin; her husband Dewey Branch; a daugher Brenda Ewin, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Wanda Erwin; sisters Irene Inman and Vi ola Fain and a brother Medford Fain.
She is survived by her children, Dewey and Leslie Erwin of Fallston; William Erwin of Dallas, Rebecca Roberts of Gastonia, Pat Chandler of Gastonia, Linda Erwin of Dallas, Red and Ginny Branch of Stanley; sister Joyce Hayes of Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
A private burial is planned by the family at Gaston Memorial Park. The family wants to extend their gratitude to Gaston Memorial Hospital, Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Alexandria Place.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in memory of family members who have lost their battle with cancer.
