Gastonia – Eula Irene Turner, 94, passed away on February 3, 2019 at the Wendover Hospice House, Shelby.
She was born in Cleveland County on November 16, 1924 to the late Furman Wallace Turner and Sarah Jane Wellman Turner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Ivey Sain, Mae Wright, Bright Reynolds and her twin, Aileen Head.
Eula was a member of Lowell – Smyre United Methodist Church. She retired from Carolina Mills. She was known as "Endy" by her family and will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her niece, Pamela Helms (Gary); Rita Hall ( Daryl); nephew, Alan Head (Cindy); niece, Doris Berryhill (Berry); Diane Heavner; Kay Hagar (Willie); nephew, Michael Sain (Elaine); Steve Sain, (Ree); niece, Peggy Panter (Austin); Sue McNeely (Gary); niece, Geral Hollar, nephews, Dale Wright and Dean Wright.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6th prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m., at Lowell Smyre United Methodist Church, 201 North Main Street, Lowell, NC with Reverend Danielle Hammett officiating. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Robert Helms, Alan Head, Daryl Hall, Jr., Jeremy Helms, Matt Costner, Adam Hall and Honorary Pallbearer, Austin Hall.
