Eula Mae Medley Parris

Dallas- Eula Mae Parris, 85, of Dallas went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 7, 2013 at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by her loving family.
She was loved dearly by her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a native of Sparta, NC (Alleghany County), born June 26, 1928 to the late Thomas Jefferson and Margie Alice Carpenter Medley. Eula Mae was a 1945 graduate of Sparta High School. She had worked at Alleghany Memorial Hospital, Sparta, NC and Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Elkin, NC. She worked at Withers Food Mart in Dallas for over 20 yrs. She was a member of Community Pentecostal Church. Eula Mae enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were the love of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jefferson Davis Parris, sisters Bertie Ruth Sparks, Rose Emma Caudle and Alma Caudle; brothers Johnny Mac Medley and Ernest Medley.
Survivors include her loving and devoted daughter, Kay Medley Withers of Gastonia;
her grandchildren, Earl and Kim Hayes Withers, III; Eric and Adrienne Hamilton Withers; Jason and Alice Withers Johnson; great grandchildren Logan Alexis Withers, Landon Riley Johnson, Earl Hoyle Withers IV, William Bryson Johnson, Elijah Pierce Withers, Eric Noah Withers and Alston Reid Johnson; son-n-law, E. Hoyle Withers, Jr; a sister Clema Caudle of Sparta;
Several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 am, Monday, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Walt Griggs officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer Section with the Releasing of the Doves.
Pallbearers will be Earl Withers III, Eric Withers, Hoyle Withers, Jason Johnson, Bill Clemmons and Charlie Jones.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Robin Johnson House, c/o Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
