Euel Nicholson Stephens, 95, of Gastonia, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Towns County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late William and Della Nichols Nicholson.

Mrs. Stephens was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to so many. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cramerton where she was a member of the Dorcas Class. Mrs. Stephens worked for many years for Baker Furniture Company, Cramerton.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her loving daughter, Gail Rausch of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Irene Eller of Hiawassee, Georgia; two granddaughters, Donna Rausch Brown and husband John of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Debra Rausch Webb and husband John of Greenville, South Carolina; five great grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Tanner Webb, Zachary Webb, William Webb, Jonathan Webb and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 235 8th Avenue, Cramerton with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Dr. David B. Julen officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Robert E. Stephens, two brothers, Elzie Nicholson, Edward Nicholson; four sisters, Bonnie Kimsey, Paralee Hensley, Charlotte Linehan, Marie Kitchens and son-in-law, Donald Rausch.
