Gastonia- Erlene Hill "Richardson", 85- went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2017 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Madison County on October 24, 1931 to Paul and Vallie Ann Scarboro Hill.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred McAllister and brother Alvin Hill
Erlene was a Christian and loved the Lord and gospel music. She liked to shop and work in her flowers and plants. Erlene will be greatly missed by all who loved her!
Left to cherish her memories include her loving daughters, Linda Richardson Whitesides, Kim Richardson Chandler, son-in-law John Chandler all of Gastonia; grandchildren Melissa Whitesides Mitchell, Brett Mitchell Chandler and Caleb Clayton Chandler; great grandchildren Allyson Melia Mitchell and Hannah Grace Mitchell, Peyton Chandler; brother Gerald (Daviese) of Barwell, SC
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2nd at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Randy Richardson officiating.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m.,Wednesday, May 3rd at Franklin Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin Springs, GA
