Gastonia – Eric Eugene Ingram, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 19, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaston County on March 25, 1952 to Shirley Knight Ingram and the late Thomas Eugene Ingram.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Michael Peterson and a brother Charles Michael Ingram.
Eric was a member of South Gastonia Church of God. He loved to joke and laugh. He was a kind giving man and never met a stranger. He often bought food and Christmas gifts for people in need. Eric was a hard working man and also enjoyed working in his yard. He was a loving son, husband and father.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 15 years, Ann Miller Ingram; his mother, Shirley Knight Ingram; his children, Tabatha (Tommy) Bruce, Chris (Ashley) Ingram, Patrick (Jennifer) Ingram, Stacey (David) Busshart; grandchildren, Daniel Peterson, Kendra Bartz, DeShawn Strong, Alexis Slade, and Dre Strong; great grandchildren, Mason and Zane Peterson, Bryant Foster; step children Amber (Rico) Strong and Chris Foster.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia with Reverend Bobby Gilley and Reverend Sam Barnette officiating.
Interment will be private; Pallbearers will be Dustin Simmons, David Busshart, Tommy Bruce, DeShawn Strong, Kyle Simmons, Mark Burchfield and Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Bryant
