Gastonia Elaine Painter Braswell, 69 of 906 West 9th Avenue passed away peacefully June 27, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Spartanburg County, SC, born September 2, 1943 to the late Lester Lee and Elizabeth Kerns Painter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her companion Timothy "Buck" Carpenter and a brother Fred Painter
Survivors include her daughter Debra Jones of Gastonia;
grandchildren Ashley Beaty and fiancé Bryan Abee, Chad Holloway and Chyna Willis;
great grandchildren Haylei Johnson and Brantley Abee;
a brother Kim Kerns of New Jersey and a uncle Bill Herzice of Gaffney, SC
The family will receive friends from 4: 00 until 5:00pm Tuesday prior to the 5:00 pm Chapel service at Withers & Whisenant Funeral
Interment will be Private
