Gastonia-Edward Arnold Picklesimer, 72, of 615 Westover Street, Gastonia went to be with the Lord February 3, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Ed was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired truck driver with Alcoa.
He was a native of Gaston County, born March 13, 1937 to the late Jesse J and Sue Chandler Pickelsimer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Pamela Picklesimer
Survivors include his wife of 40 yrs., Jean Smith Picklesimer; Daughters: Deborah Estelle and husband Phillip of Dallas,
Amy Holmes of Lexington
Brothers: Jesse Pickelsimer, Jr of Hidden Valley, CA,
Bob Pickelsimer and wife Carla of Casar,
Joe Pickelsimer and wife Edie of Ranlo,
Doug Pickelsimer and wife Carolyn of Ranlo;
Sister: Betty Smith and husband Colin of Dallas
Grandchildren: Brittany Erwin, Buddy Erwin of the home, Abby Holmes of Lexington and Theron Estelle of Dallas
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Gibbs officiating
Family will receive friends 1:00 until 3:00 prior to the service
Interment will be at Westview Gardens
Pallbearers will be Barry Smith, Larry Smith, Mike Black,
David Black, Philip Estelle and A1C Kyle Smith
Memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, WAC 2316 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054
