Gastonia – Eddie Joel Wilson, 62 of 1011 West Fourth Avenue passed away peacefully February 7, 2013 at his residence.
He was a native of Mecklenburg County, born August 16, 1950 to the late Albert L and Clara Taylor Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Donald, Charlie, Ken and Mike
Eddie was a proud US Marine Corp. Vietnam veteran, and had retired from Carolina Dixie Vim as store manager.
Survivors include his son, Jason Michael Wilson and a daughter Tina Marie Wilson and her fiancé Jeremy Whisnant;
four grandchildren Tyler, Zach, Kylie, Furious and Xavier
Brothers, Jerry Wilson and Bobby Wilson of Gastonia;
a sister Faye Brinkley of San Diego
Numerous nieces and nephews
A Memorial service will be Saturday February 9th at 4:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Christy Wilson Moss officiating, and military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard
Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Interment will be Private at Hollywood Cemetery
