Earl L. Creech
1931-2017
Lowell – Earl L. Creech – 85, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in the loving care of hospice.
He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Clark Ray and Emma Hatton Creech.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy Lay Creech; son, Ernest Ray Creech; brother, Clark Creech and sisters, Ivory Sabin and Evelyn King.
Earl loved his family and cherished all the memories that have been made throughout the years. He was a Veteran of the USMC where he served 8 years of dedicated service and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He later worked as a police officer and worked in Textiles for many years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his children; Earl Donald Creech (Cheri); Deborah Creech Roberts; Ramona Thomas (Tim); Joseph Creech (Amy); Rita Bagwell (Bruce); Maria Joao Cunha and Roxalee Rogers; brother and sister,
Roger Creech (Meri) and Nell Honeycutt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 12th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Dr. John D. Mayberry officiating.
Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Lowell, NC with the releasing of the doves. Pallbearers will be Anthony Creech, Christian Creech, Tim Thomas, David Wheeler, Cody Thomas, Bruce Bagwell and Trevor Bagwell.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Robin Johnson House for their kind and compassionate care for their father.
