Gastonia – Dorothy Rae Ramsey James, 79 passed away on January 22, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gaston County to the late Rueben and Elzora Messer Ramsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil James.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her children, Sherry West, Richard Adcock,
Jack Adcock and Susan Griffin Gilliland; Ten grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren
Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 28th from 11:00 until 12 Noon prior to the Celebration of Life service at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Lawing officiating. Interment will be Private
