Gastonia-Dorothy Hester "Dot" Wileman, 81 of Gastonia passed away peacefully on December 27, 2013 at her residence.
She was a native of Gaston County, NC, born April 18, 1932 to the late Willie O.B. "Bill" and Wordlee McClure Hester. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother..Dot was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of House of Beauty, and had worked at Carothers Funeral Home as a hairdresser. Dot loved working in crafts, catering and home interior.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 39 years, Dean A Wileman,
A daughter Gwen Swink Lomax, brothers Vernon and Lewis Hester, sister-in-law Shelby Hester
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry King; son Edward E Swink and wife Joyce; grandchildren Gary, Crystal, Page, Derek, Haven, and Brad; brother –in-law Grant Wileman
six great grandchildren; brother, Billy E Hester, sister-in-laws Frances and Joyce Hester,
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer section with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating
