Gastonia- Dorothy Tweed Blake, 85, of Gastonia went home to be with the Lord April 21, 2010
She was a native of Madison County, NC, born April 1, 1925, daughter of the late William McKinley and Della Rae Tweed
Dorothy was a member of South Gastonia Church of God, she retired from Textiles with over 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 38 years, Marion Daniel Blake; Sisters: Manila Czerniak, Savonia Cantrell, Millure Gentry and Inez Franklin
Survivors include her children: Larry D Blake of Gastonia,
Robert E Blake and wife Marilyn of Gastonia,
Sonya Blake Cain and husband Matthew of Salisbury;
Grandchildren: Robert E 'Robbie' Blake, Jr and wife Stacey,
Lora B Ramsey and husband Greg
Great Grandchildren: Chelsea Ramsey, Megan Ramsey and Dare Blake
Brother: Hartford Tweed of Marshall, NC
Sister: Etta Hensley of Marshall, NC
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Friday, April 23, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend Sam Barnett officiating
Family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm Thursday, April 22, 2010
