Dallas- Doris Bell Styers Truesdale, 70 passed away peacefully on June 16, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Bessemer City on March 9, 1945 to the late Buford "Boot" Bell and Sarah McConnell. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Vernice Bell and her husband Donald Truesdale;
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her children Daniel Styers, Jr. (Crystal), Mark Styers (Tammy), Bonnie Miller (Bruce), Grandchildren, Christy Edwards, Michelle Miller, Mark Moose, Stephanie Lindamood, Daniel Styers, III, April Styers, Casey Brown and Brittany Styers;Great grandchildren, Hope and Parker Edwards, Gramm and McKinley Harrington, Caleb Lindamood, Bryson and Connor Styers, Remy and Lyndia McCoy, Tevin Lutz, Logan Styers, Alyssa Brown, Grace Brown, Logan and Dylan fowler, Hunter Lee and Kynlee Ball; sisters, Martha Pope, Shirley Alvis, Judy Weatherford, Alice Barron, Jackie Greene, Carol Holiday and Teresa McDonald; brother, Buddy Richards.
Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 pm, Friday, June 19th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Mr. Brent Edwards officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park with the releasing of the doves.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Styers, III, Mark Moose, Parker Edwards, Dennis Bridges, John Barron and Mike Essary; Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Lindamood.
The family wishes to thank all of her special loving neighbors at Oak Forest Apartments who helped provide care throughout her illness.
