Doris Coleman Branton

Gastonia – Doris Coleman Branton, 84 of Gastonia, NC passed away peacefully on March 18, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Candler County, Georgia on August 4, 1929 to the late Cecil and Elma Edenfield Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Robert Eugene Branton who died October 16, 2013, Stepmother, Millie Coleman and brothers, Dalwin Coleman and Doyle Coleman.
Survivors include her Son, Michael and wife, Janet Cloninger Branton;
daughter, Hazel Branton Roberts and husband Roger;
Grandchildren, Amy Mitchell and husband Brian; Kevin Branton and wife Candace;
Stacy Yarbrough and husband Dan; Jacob Roberts, Justin Roberts;
Great Grandchildren, Luke Mitchell, Drew Mitchell, Elizabeth Branton

A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Hensley officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.
