Dallas –Dora Lee Moyer Cottingham, 86 passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2017. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 27, 1930 to the late Ruben and Imajean Dean Moyer.
Dora Lee was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dallas and a graduate of Stautzenberger Business School in Toledo, Ohio. Dora Lee was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was so grateful for her devoted compassionate doctor, the Levine Cancer Institute staff for their gentle, loving care; and her many friends and family who showered her with love and prayers.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy O'Dell; son, Bill Cottingham, Jr., and wife Cheryl; Grandchildren, Justin Cottingham and wife Allison; Katherine Harmon and husband David; Tyler Milstead and husband Steven;Great-grandchildren, Chance, Tylee, Sailor, Zane, Ryder, Hanna and Delaney; Brother and sisters, Phil Moyer and wife JoAnn of Michigan; Bonnie Borrell and Beverly Borden both of Ohio;her beloved pet, Charlie
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Cottingham, Sr.,
The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 301 West Main Street, Dallas, NC with Reverend Caroll Flack officiating. The releasing of the doves will follow the service.
Interment will be private.
