Donna Lillian Cope

Donna Lillian Cope, 55, passed away on December 10, 2024 at Novant Hospital in Huntersville with her loving family by her side. 

She was born in Gaston County on January 26, 1969 to Lillian Currence Davis and the late Larry Keith Cope. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Samuel Davis. 

 Donna was a member of the South Gastonia Church of God. She loved to sing and listen to music. Donna enjoyed designing and taking on many creative projects. In her free time, she liked to shop and vacation at the beach. Donna loved her sweet fur baby, Marty. 

 She is survived by her mother, Lillian Currence Davis; sisters, Rebecca Harris (Jack), Penny Mahaffey, and Susan Cope;  and her little princess and niece, Shelby DeLynn-Cope (Steven Johnson); nephews, Nicholas Harris, Spencer Harris, and their families. 

 Family and friends will gather for visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia, North Carolina. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Bobby Gilly and Reverend Adrian Franklin officiating. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Harris, Spencer Harris, Steven Johnson, Billy Lineberger, Jack Harris, and David Bridges.
