Donita Rochelle Huffman, 56, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 with her beloved daughter by her side. She was born in Valdese, North Carolina on February 18, 1965 and is the daughter of Dewey Lester Huffman and the late Phyllis Thornburg Huffman.
Donita was the former Secretary for A.M.E. Exterminating Company. She never met a stranger. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister and loved everyone. She will truly be missed by so many.
Donita is survived by her daughter, Ashley Caldwell; father and step-mother, Dewey and Rev. Freda Conklin Huffman; step-brother, Zeb Scyoc; nephew, Josh Ulrich (Brittany).
The family will receive family and friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Mark Smith of Cross Link Church in Rutherford College, North Carolina officiating.
Inurnment will be private and at a later date.

Donita was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Thornburg Huffman; sister, Sandy Huffman; nephew, Jace Lopez.
