Gastonia – Donald Odell Worley, 62 of Gastonia went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 1, 2013 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston Co., NC, born February 23, 1951 to Loretta Bradshaw Worley and the late Odell Worley.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents
He was retired in 2009 from Tyco after 25 years of service.
Donnie faithfully attended Dallas Church of God, he loved reading his Bible and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working in his flowers and garden. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Kathy Moore Worley; his mother Loretta Bradshaw Worley of Stanley, his sons Michael Worley, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, Darlington, Mark Worley and wife Echo of Lincolnton; his grandchildren Christopher Mark Worley and wife Ehlana of Bessemer City, Timothy Shawn, Savannah Elizabeth, Christina Marie and Taylor Cheyanne all of Lincolnton; great grandson Wyette Matthew Worley
a sister Debra Mullins of Stanley
Celebration of life service will be 3:00pm; Friday at Dallas Church of God with Reverend Daniel R Shortridge and Reverend Jeff Williams officiating
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00pm prior to the service.
Interment at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood section with the Releasing of the Doves
