He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 10, 1948 to the late Lonnie and Emma Jean Queen Varney
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilson Varney and Steve Varney and sister, Bonnie Varney
Left to cherish his memories include his wife Ruth C. Varney, son, Stephen L. Varney (April); daughter, Sheila Varney; step sons, Brandon S. Cutshaw (Lauren); Matthew J. McKillop (Rikki);
Sisters, Connie Lisenby (James); Helen Varney, Madeline Moore (Sherrill); Diane Leroy (John);
Grandchildren, Amanda Dean, Ashley Blanton, Hydi Varney, Stephen Varney Jr., Hannah Varney, Jayden Cutshaw, Adrian Cutshaw
and Gabriel Cutshaw; Great Grandchildren, Kennedy Dean and Case Dean
A Celebration of Life service will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, September 18th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Silver officiating
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
