Donald Kent Falls

Donald Kent Falls, 90, passed away peacefully at Peak Resources, Gastonia on September 17, 2024. 

He was born in Gaston County on June 5, 1934 to the late Clifford Norman Falls and Wilma Helms Falls. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Joy Watts Falls and his brother, Franklin M. “Frank” Falls. 

Donald was a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a mechanic in heavy trucking for many years. He was a member of Ranlo Baptist Church. He also enjoyed gardening, farming in his younger days, flying model airplanes and homemade kites. Donald really liked working with his bees and making apple cider. 

He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Falls and Amy Falls Webb; grandchildren, Bethany and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Libi, and Evelyn Crawford, and Joshua Webb; sister Patricia Falls Byrd 

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Bethany ARP Church Cemetery, 1454 Hwy 16 N-Clover, SC 29710
