Gastonia – Donald Addison Masters, 65 crossed over onto Glory on his birthday February 22, 2020 at Brian Center Lincolnton with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Gaston County on February 22, 1955 the late Alvin Franklin Masters and Sallie Clark Masters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Masters.
Donnie was a member of Lincoln Avenue Church. He retired from Wix Corp with 29 years of service. He enjoyed NASCAR and MWF wrestling and trips to the beach.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patty Alexander Masters; his children, Chasity (Jared) Moses, Eric Masters, step children, Ricky (Lindsay) Hedgpeth, Natsha (Kyle) Ballard; siblings, Joyce Heflin, Bobby (Marie) Masters, his twin brother, Ronnie Masters, David Masters and Lindsay (Candee) Masters; twelve grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12 Noon, Wednesday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel with Reverend Eddie Yount and Rev Rufus Johnson ,Pastor Derwin Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Price, James Hedgpeth, Kyle Ballard, Keith Matthews, Matt Matthews and Keith Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services, 306 S. Columbia Street, Gastonia, NC 28054.
