Donald Gene Coxey, Sr. 56, of Kings Mountain, died August 22, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Gaston County, son of the late Roy Jones and Viola Lansford Coxey
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Eddie Coxey
Don worked for the City of Kings Mountain
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Loretta Hogue Coxey
children: Donald Coxey, Jr; Ann and Mark Knight, Lisa and Anthony Stark, Patricia and Mike Tavares, Kelly Hogue, Christina Smith
Brothers: Roy, Jr. and Joyce Coxey; Ronald and Betty Coxey
Sister: Joyce Thomas
Grandchildren: Brandon Knight, Austen and Caleb Hogue
A Memorial Service will be Thursday, 5:00pm at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. James Lowery officiating.
Family will receive friends following the service
