Mt. Holly - Donald "Don" Edward Lee, 76, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on Monday, December 18, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Don was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Graham Westley and Bonnie Dowdle Lee. Don formerly worked for Clariant Corporation, Mt. Holly. Don loved music of all sorts, he loved to play guitar and played in several musical bands in his youth. Music was his life.
Don is survived by his loving sister, Elaine Armstrong of Belmont and cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Friday at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 pm Friday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Watts officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly with the Releasing of the Doves.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Lee; brother-in-law, Donnie Armstrong. Memorials may be made to North Carolina Association of the Deaf, Post Office Box 1385, Cary, North Carolina 27512.
