Gastonia- Diane Smith Hoyle, 68 of 1508 Cecilia Drive passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014 to be with her Lord and Savior at CaroMont Regional Medical Center,
Diane was a native of Lincoln County, born June 28, 1945 to the late Florence Thompson Lowery. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister Sarah Drennan, brothers Billy Lowery and Calvin Smith. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Donald Hoyle; son Lee and wife Debra Payseur; daughter Sherry Surratt and fiancé Rodney Stirewalt; sister Rachel Seaton; grandchildren Jeffrey, Ciera, Madison and Taylor; special friend Kay Cole
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00pm Monday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 4:00pm Monday with Rev. Junior Morris officiating
