Gastonia – Dennis Michael "Mike" Myers, 73 passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022, at his residence.
He was born in Gaston County on May 2, 1948, to the late Nell Rose Myers. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Howell Myers, mother of his children, his brother, Graham Myers, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Rose.
Mike was a member of Flint Grove Baptist Church. He worked most of his life as a Mechanical Engineer. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Left to cherish Mike's memories is his loving wife, Renee Starnes Myers, his sons, Brian and Clay Myers and grandson, Colin Myers; stepdaughter, Kelly Jones (Michael) granddaughter, Summer Bumgardner (Jeremy) great-grandchildren, Lily and Josh Bumgardner; sisters, Elaine Honeycutt (Jim), Marcia Scull (Don), brothers, Steve, Mark, Glenn, David, and Ted Myers; Aunts, LeeAnn Rose and Faye Rose Lineberger; and his beloved fur baby companion, Cody.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park, Mausoleum of Peace (New side) with Pastor Jeff Watts officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint Groves Baptist Church, 2017 East Ozark Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054.
