Dennis Dale Hammonds

Dennis Dale Hammonds, Sr., 49, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Bland County Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bastain, Virginia. He was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Odell Hammonds, Jr. and Roxanne Green Hammonds.
Dennis is survived by his three daughters, Clarissa Hammonds and fiancé, Robert Pena, Brittany Hammonds, Marana Russ of Gastonia; one brother, Ronnie Hammonds of Alabama; two granddaughters, Alexa Meeks, Eliana Watkins; grandmother Bonnie Hammonds
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will be private and at a later date.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Dennis Dale Hammonds, Jr.
