Belmont – Dean Allen McCarn, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House.
He was a native of Belmont, born July 10, 1934 to the late Glenn and Marietta Carter McCarn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Dot, Wilma, Fay, and Barbara; brothers, Jack, Wayne and Johnny.
Dean was a 1953 graduate of Belmont High School where he was an outstanding student and athlete.
Dean is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Null McCarn;
his daughters, Jane M. (Mark) Mixon and Jill McCarn;
grandsons, Carter and Austin Mixon
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Olin Byrum officiating.
