David Walter Edwards

David Walter Edwards, 65, passed away on September 16, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Monroe, NC to Bobbie Marks Harris and the late Robert Edwards. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son, David Walter Edwards, Jr. and his brother, Hal Rape, II. 

Dave enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and assembling model cars. He was a big Chiefs and Cowboys fan. Dave was a good storyteller and most of all he loved his family. He will be remembered as a good man, father, and grandfather. 

He is survived by his daughters, Mahala Edwards, Hanna Benton, and Amanda Edwards-Pegram; brothers, Andy Edwards, Stan Edwards, and Steve Edwards; sister, Juliette Hill; and his 12 grandchildren, Samantha Wyatt, Bryson McGee, David Edwards III, Dylan Benton, Michael Flynn, Skylyn Edwards, Nathanael Flynn, Brayden Edwards, Braxton Taylor, Abbi Flynn, Bella Pegram, and Landin Tonkin.

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home to fellowship and remember Daves life.
