Dallas – David Reece Cloninger, 53, passed away March 4, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in York County, SC on March 29, 1961 to the late Bud and Trula Bowers Cloninger. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Roger, and a sister, Vickey Stamey
David was owner of the Lighthouse Fish Camp in Lincolnton and had also been a truck driver most of his life while owning many different restaurants in Gaston County.
Survivors include his loving daughters Abby Lee Cloninger and Fiancée Preston Looper, Katelyn Gene Cloninger; Brothers Charles Cloninger and Jewel Still, Clifford Cloninger and wife Robin, Aron Cloninger and wife Susan, Daniel Cloninger and Laura Watson; sister Vickie Ferguson and husband Richard; special friend Wanda Potter and mother of the girls, Paula Johnson Cloninger; half brother and sister, Yates and wife Sue Cloninger, Emily and Charles Ware; Several wonderful nieces and nephews
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 9th at 6:00 pm at Gaston Baptist Church, 516 South Gaston Street, Dallas with Reverend Richard Gaddis, Reverend John Johnson and Reverend Mark Hovis officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Interment will be private
