David James Brockman, born on January 6, 1968, in Elgin, Illinois, passed away on March 11, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He lived a life full of passion and dedication, which reflected in both his career and personal interests.

He was an accomplished musician, serving as the organist at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. His contributions to the church and the community around him were profound, allowing him to share his love of music with many. David pursued higher education diligently, attending Lenoir Rhyne University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He furthered his studies by obtaining a Master’s in Sacred Music at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, a testament to his commitment to both his faith and his craft.

In his personal life, David was cherished by his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with those he held dear, creating lasting memories through laughter and shared experiences. His hobbies included reading, which enriched his life, and photography, which allowed him to capture the beauty of the world around him.

David is survived by his parents, James Lynn Brockman and Patricia Diana Palmer Brockman; his brother, Jeffery Joseph Brockman; and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Comfort Brockman. He also leaves behind a special nephew, Joshua David Brockman, along with many wonderful friends whose lives he touched.

His legacy will continue through those who loved him and the memories they share. David James Brockman will be remembered for his passion for music, his devotion to family and friends, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. He joins his deceased grandparents, Dorothy and Albert Palmer, in eternal rest.
