Bessemer City – Darlene Lynette Smith, 66 passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Union County on November 4, 1950 to the late William D. Smith and Wilma Carter Smith Wade.
She retired as a machine operator at Texlon Plastic, Gastonia. Darlene received her associate degree from Belmont Textile School.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her loving daughters, Michelle (Sidney) Hoffman of Dallas, Lynette (Brian) Hall of Bessemer City; Louise Grigg of Dallas
grandchildren, Taylor (Kyle Brooks) Hoffman, Alexis Hoffman, Tori (Caleb Pasour) Hall and Peyton Hall
A Memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with David Glover officiating.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service
