Gastonia – Cynthia Denise Thompson Lingafelt, 64, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gaston County on June 20, 1957, to the late Kermit Wayne Thompson and Hilda Ruth Coleman Thompson.
She was a member of Ragan Wesleyan Church. Cynthia enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. She was a people person; who never met a stranger. She enjoyed the holidays most of all. Cynthia was a loving, kind, and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Survivors include her wonderful family, her loving husband of almost 31 years, Daniel Lingafelt; her loving daughter, Lori Lingafelt (Brandon) Price; grandchildren, Taylor, Clayton, and Kennadee Price; brothers, Wayne and Buddy Thompson; and many wonderful friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend John Harper officiating. Inurnment will be held at Long Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Due to the Covid outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call to the family will be appreciated.
