Lincolnton- Cornis Lamar King, Jr., 81, passed away on December 8, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.
He was born in Gaston County on April 5, 1934 to the late Cornis Lamar King, Sr and Florence Melton King.
Lamar was a U.S. Army veteran with AFSWP. He was retired from West Vaco with over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dr. Murray Carol King, brother Roy King and a grandson Trey Dean Rhyne.
Left to cherish his memories includes his daughter Sidna Marchant, grandson Johnny Eric Rhyne, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews which he considered his children.
