Colleen Marie Heavener

Gastonia ' Colleen Marie Heavener, 81 of 2065 Lyon Street passed away peacefully November 20, 2011 with her loving family by her side at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Gainesville, GA. Born December 25, 1929 to the late David Andrew and Christine Shuler Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Charles A Heavener.
Marie was her own person, very strong and self willing. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her Daughters Kaye Frances Owens and husband Robert of Dallas; Patricia Wingard and husband Wayne of Gastonia; One Brother Mickey McDougald and wife Edna of Gainesville, GA;
Grandchildren Connie Colleen Huddleston, Rob Huddleston and Nicholas Chastain.
Her God given great grandchildren Eric and Jennifer Eisele, Michael and Linton Wingard; Special Friend Petra Fugger
The family will receive friends 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapelwith Rev. Joe Hensley
Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery
