Gastonia-Collier 'Clayton' Cox, Jr. 74, of Gastonia went home to be with his Lord and Savior August 23, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital
He was a native of Gaston County, born November 27, 1937 to the late Collier Clayton and Virgie Traxler Cox, Sr.
Clayton was a past member of the Victory Baptist Church and retired from Anvil Knit, Kings Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 44 years Margie Louise Burr Cox.
Survivors include his children, Kevin Cox and wife Patty,
Kim Cox Hill and husband David of Belmont;
grandchildren Kaila Cox and Weston Cox;
and a sister Gertrude Long of Gastonia
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30pm Sunday prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00pm Sunday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Lawing officiating
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Devotions with the Releasing of the Doves
