Gastonia– Clarise Duncan Foster, 80, of Gastonia went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Columbus County, NC, born December 17, 1933 to the late Hubert C. and Lela Ward Duncan.
Clarise was a member of New Hope Church of God, serving as Superintendant and Secretary; she loved her church better than anything. Clarise enjoyed sewing and crocheting and her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beatrice and her brothers Ervin and Jack Harold Duncan.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Sue McCoy and husband Jimmy, Steve Bumgardner, Mark Bumgardner and Marc Bumgardner; and five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Cribb and husband James; and Betty Hoffman and husband Kirby
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00pm Friday, May30th at New Hope Church of God with a
Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00pm at New Hope Church of God with Reverend Chris Seagle and Reverend Daniel Perry officiating
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" with the Releasing of the Doves
