Gastonia-Reverend Charles Edmond Tilley, 88, joined his heavenly father peacefully on July 9, 2014 from the Robin Johnson House.
He was a native of Cabarrus County, born December 26, 1925 to the late Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Tilley and Mae Elizabeth Brotherton Tilley.

Reverend Tilley was a faithful member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, Dallas, and served as a Church of God Minister throughout the United States for over 60 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sharing his faith at the flea market through his flower shop business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Tony and Mike Parker, grandson Zachary Jonas.

Survivors are his loving wife of 36 years, Inez May Tilley; his children and step children, Chuck and David Tilley, Marsha Miskelly, Jane Jonas, Star Tucker, Monica and Megan Parker; sisters Bernice Hardin and Lynn Chapman;
eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren

A visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 12th at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, 1026 Dallas Stanley Hwy., Dallas with Pastor Fred Morrison and Dr. Jack Fox officiating.
Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Singing Tower IV section
with the Releasing of the Doves.
