Charles F. Mcdonald

Gastonia- Charles Frank McDonald, 79, passed away July 30, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Albany Georgia, son of the late Frank Washington and Ollie Gilliam McDonald. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Regina Melton McDonald, a brother, Ralph McDonald, and a son Jeffery Van McDonald.
He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Carey and husband Terry, sons Randy McDonald and wife Kathy, Barry McDonald and wife Connie, brothers, Ed McDonald, Robert McDonald and wife Carol, sister Bobbie Jackson and husband Ed, grandchildren Michael and Shawn Carey, Randy S. and Rita McDonald, Melissa Dawn Horr, Renee Long, Charles T. McDonald, Lisa Simons, Eric McDonald, 19 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Monday in the Chapel at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev. David Reed officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
