Gastonia- Charles Thomas 'Tommy' Lunsford, 68 of Gastonia passed away June 1, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center.
He was a native of Haywood County, born August 31, 1943 to the late Elbert Calvin and Margie Jenkins Lunsford, Sr
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Elbert, Jr., David and Alvin; sisters Eula Mosley, Emma Jean Walker and Mary Pence.
Tommy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He was survived by his loving wife of 46 years Patricia Ann 'Pat' Burger Lunsford; his sons Charles Christopher Lunsford of Gastonia and Loyd Gilbert Lunsford of Shelby; Special dog Baby Girl
Six Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren
One Brother Danny K Lunsford and a sister Martha Lunsford
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park
