Dallas- Charles Rhyne Edison, 77 of Dallas died December 15, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Gaston County, born September 1, 1932 to the late Thomas Woodrow and Lena 'Lucy' Rhyne Edison
Charles was retired CLA with Southern Bell with over 31 years of service. He was a US Army, Korean War veteran, member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, past member of the Gastonia Little Theatre, Inc
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Pete Edison and a sister, Ann Foxx
Survivors include his children: Steve and Donna Edison of Easley, SC;
Gary and Cheryl Edison of Dallas and Johnny Edison of Dallas
Six Grandchildren: Davina Edison, Megan E. Smith, Lauren Deshaies, Parker Edison, Jessica Diver and Wesley Edison; Six Great Grandchildren: Woods and Harvest Browder, Katelyn and Lillian Deshaies, Eleanor Inge, Kalyn McMillan and Payton Diver
Brothers, Dan and Alice Edison of GA and Tommy Edison of Lake Wylie
Brother-in-law: Charles Foxx of Dallas; Sister-in-law: Darlene Edison of Columbus, OH

Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 19
at Holy Communion Lutheran Church with Pastor John F. Merck and Rev. Kevin L Mackey officiating
Family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service
Interment will be at Holy Communion Lutheran Church Cemetery
