Charles "Charlie" Albert Neal, Sr.

Charles Albert :Charlie” Neal, Sr., 59, passed away suddenly on November 26, 2024 his residence with his loving family by his side. 

He was born in Gaston County on November 29, 1964 to the late John Baxter Neal, Sr. and Wanda Hazel Ledford Neal. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Baxter Neal, Jr., sister, Laura Jane Neal Argenio.

Charlie enjoyed classic cars, working on cars, fishing and football. He worked in construction and also at Freightliner.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Wanda Gail Cooper Neal; children, Charles Albert Neal, Jr, James William Neal and wife Nichole, Cynthia Charlene Neal; grandchildren, Darla Olivia Neal, Abigail Rose Neal, Gabrelle Lynn Arthurs, James William Neal, Jr., and Noah Lou Neal’ brother, Steve Ledford; nephew, Christopher Neal and a niece, Lennae Neal, and many wonderful friends

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
