Mt. Holly – Charles Edward Burnette, 78, passed away on March 26th at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born in Laurens County, SC on March 4, 1938 to the late James Kennedy and Fannie Rebecca Smith Burnette
Charles was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was a fisherman and worked his entire career on fishing boats in Florida.
Survivors include his sisters, Bobbie Myers of Gastonia and Wilma Faye Preston of Mt. Holly; brother, James Stanley Burnette of Pensacola, FL and his niece Mariea Thompson of Mt. Holly
Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, March 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Boatwright and Reverend Ralph Carver officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Inurnment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in the Garden of Gethsemane Section
