Gastonia – Channing Eugene Nicholson, 39 of Gastonia passed away September 28, 2013.
He was a native of Gaston Co., NC, born July 14, 1974 to Linda Kay Campbell Cape and the late Gerald Eugene Nicholson. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, Vie and Dewey Campbell and an uncle Keith Campbell.
He was a wonderful and loving father; he enjoyed spending quality time with his children. Channing was a 1993 graduate of Clover High School.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, racing and the Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors include his children, Dylan Channing Nicholson, Riley Hope Nicholson, Timmy Moore and Brittany Bridges;
his mother Linda Kay Cape;
sisters, Angela Hope Nicholson and Amber Dawn Nicholson;
mother of his daughter, Riley Ashley Kniess;
his grandmother Bobbie Slaton; aunts and uncles Brenda Henson, Pat and Delane Baker, Judy Diane and David Hannah, Mike and Gina Campbell, Kim Helton, Denise Bieleski;
nieces Kaleigh and Nicole Bunting; cousins Shannon and Justin Campbell, Dalton Campbell, Derek Baker, Chasity Massey, Shane and Scott Hannah, Scarlett Rayfield.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Wednesday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 pm Thursday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Kent Meeler officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be Dalton Campbell, Shannon and Justin Campbell, Shane and Scott Hannah, Joshua Hall, Derek Baker and Troy Homesley
