Carrol Beverly Quinn Harris

February 19, 1938 — September 23, 2018

Carrol Beverly Quinn Harris, 80, entered into Heaven on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Carrol was born in Alva, Oklahoma and was the daughter of the late David and Wilma Meek.

A long time resident of Gaston County, she was a United States Army Veteran and was an avid reader and gardener. She also enjoyed sewing and was generous with her gifts, often giving gifts of handmade pieces.

Carrol is survived by her four children shared with former spouse Joseph H. Harris, Jr., Joseph Harris III and wife Pam, Mark Harris, Melissa Fancher and husband Randall, and Melanie Dyer and husband Richard; grandchildren, Chrystal and partner Justin, Courtney and spouse Jess, Ben and wife Kelly, Megan, Taylor and wife Rachel, Andrew and partner Samantha, Mark, Cheyenne, Sierra, and Sydney; three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Mausoleum of Peace of Gaston Memorial Park with interment to follow in the Garden of Honor with full military honors by the North Carolina National Guard and the Gaston Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Chapter, 4600 Park Road #250, Charlotte, N. C. 28209.
