1933-2016
Gastonia – Carolyn Franklin Creasman, 82, passed away on March 22, 2016 at Gastonia Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Gaston County, NC on May 15, 1933 to the late Agnes Cathey and Raymond L. Franklin.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Stanley Creasman and their son William "Bill" Creasman.
Carolyn was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she was very active many years leading the youth choir and taught Sunday School faithfully. She was a graduate of Ashley High School and retired from Lithium Corporation after many years of dedicated service where she was an administrative secretary.
Survivors include her son, John Creasman and wife Joan of Gastonia; grandchildren, Matthew Creasman of Gastonia; Jordan O'Toole and husband Eric of SC; and Paul Creasman and wife Tracey of Lattimore, NC; and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Austin of Gastonia; and her beloved dog "Inkie"
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, March 24th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held Friday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m., Gaston Memorial Park, Mausoleum of Peace.
